Vittoria Camerino Martinetti, a woman who studied -and loved- textiles, established Tessilarte in 1947, to make pure linen home textiles, on classic handlooms. Her colors, unusual and bold contrasts and modern, innovative designs earned Tessilarte an anward at the 1957 Triennale in Milan. Today, the old looms are the firm's small museum, but production is still very special. Paola Marinetti Graziano, Vittoria's daughter, has created new collections for the table, bed and furnishings in general: embroidered and appliqued lines, pure cotton satins and jacquards in different patterns and a myriad of colors.
