In 1903 the frame-maker Giovanni Baccani opened his shop in the Palazzo Bernardi in Via della Vigna Nuova. The founder soon began reproducing prints with views of the city and its museums. His idea of making Christmas cards with artistic views of Florence earned him the title of Cavaliere della repubblica, for his work in promoting Florence as an art city. In 2009 the business moved into Borgo Ognissanti maintaining the splendid original wood furnishings, decorated with Latin inscriptions that are the founder's moral testament. In this shop you can find prints, frames and many other handcrafted Florentine wood items such as beautiful lamps.
