Founded as an artisan workshop specialized in semi-precious stone and marble inlays, in the first tradition of Florentine mosaic work, Ugolini was originally located in Via dei Fossi. In 1900 they moved to the current premises, and for many years the wordshop was in the adjacent rooms that opened into the Chiasso degli Altoviti. The firm has received several awards at national and international exhibitions for its splendid mosaics, and over the years the shop has become a gallery with a treasure of colored tables, boxes, pictures and various decorative items depicting still lifes, animal and human figures in all the natural beauty of fine semiprecious stones.
