Raffaello Ugolini started this business at the end of the 19th century, and was succeded by his son, Guido who set up the workshop in the family home at Via del Drago d'Oro 9. There Guido repaired bronze and brass items, graved and created original models for handles and candelabra and kept on expanding the workshop until he set up the new foundry. Today it is Paola, Guido's granddaughter who runs the business. She has expanded the product range so that it now includes lighting and furnishing accessories, lamp bases, occasional tables with inlaid marble tops, door knobs and furniture in all styles. All the work is done entirely by hand, from casting to chasing.
