Boboli Gardens, nature and art in the centre of Florence
The Golden Tower Hotel enjoys an advantageous position, as it is one of the best hotels located in central Florence, a few steps away from the city’s most important attractions. Just a 20 minute walk from our hotel in Florence, for example, you can visit one of the most famous Renaissance gardens of the city: the Boboli Gardens. During the Renaissance it was indeed used by noble Florentine families, creating gardens that were true and genuine exercises in botanical and architectural style, conceived as being multi-layered and adorned with terraces, flights of steps and fountains with impressive water effects.
Visiting the Boboli Gardens, located between Forte di Belvedere and Palazzo Pitti (also worth a visit), you can admire truly stunning scenic effects, created by adapting plant species and works of art together in a single environment. Among the latter are the statues and fountains of Giambologna, the plaza and the pond of Giulio and Alfonso Parigi, and the Grotta di Buontalenti. The Garden was designed by Tribolo in the second half of the sixteenth century and finished in four centuries, and is therefore marked by many styles, merged into one unique and sublime work of art. From our hotel, located right next to Palazzo Strozzi, you will also be a stone's throw from the romantic Ponte Vecchio, and the most famous museums in Florence including the Uffizi Gallery, but also the Florentine shopping streets: Via della Vigna Nuova, Via dei Calzaiuoli and Via Tornabuoni.
The Golden Tower Hotel in Florence will give you the opportunity to immerse yourself immediately in the ancient heart of the city. Its strategic location and its 5-star luxury amenities make it one of the most famous hotels in the centre of Florence.
